Texas Landowners Wildfire Risk Reduction Grants
Texas A&M Forest Service has opened the central Texas Communities At Risk Mechanical Fuel Texas Reduction Grant for April 2024.
The grant helps reduce the risk of home loss to wildfire using accepted mechanical fuel reduction practices. Projects will be located in Burnet, Comal, Hays and Williamson Counties. Grant recipients will be reimbursed actual costs, not to exceed $750 per acre, to create defensible space around structures or to create fuel breaks in strategic locations. The total limit of reimbursement per grant recipient is $10,000.
